Linda V. Mundell
Linda Mundell earned her Bachelor of Laws degree in 1991 from the University of Alberta, receiving the Governor General’s Bronze Medal. This was the second degree and career for Ms Mundell, who had previously been an elementary school teacher.
Ms Mundell was called to the Alberta Bar in 1992 and in 1993 started the Master’s degree program at the University of British Columbia. Her focus at UBC was elder law. Ms Mundell was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1995. She was certified as a Family Law Mediator in 1998.
Ms Mundell’s primary area for practice in family law is child removal under the Ministry. She provides a supportive environment for clients involved with Ministry matters.
At Smyth and Company Ms Mundell also mediates all forms of family law. The knowledge and experience that Ms Mundell brings to her cases gives her the ability to be creative in dealing with disputes and to see opportunities for resolution. Ms Mundell’s first approach is to attempt mediation or negotiation where possible.
Ms Mundell has volunteered extensively, providing legal advice at various clinics including women’s transition homes, senior’s law clinics and the North Vancouver Legal Services Society.
